HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR A GOOD CAUSE WHILE
ENJOYING AN EVENING PLAY (MAY 7, 2010 8PM)
- "The Blue Mug,"a Hindi/ English Comedy Play that has toured the US, Gulf, and Brazil. Funds will support Apna Ghar (Our Home), which provides culturally-appropriate, multilingual
services, including emergency shelter, to survivors of domestic abuse
with a primary focus on the South Asian and other immigrant communities. The show is on Friday May 7th 2010 at the Skokie Performing Arts Center. Click the above links to Apna Ghar and The Blue Mug for more information or contact Ketki Parikh at 630-964-6061 with questions.
- VOLUNTEER AT DUPAGE COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES: The commitment is 6 months, 1.5- 2 hrs per week. Volunteering involves interaction with patients in a variety of settings. Interested students should contact the MPA Board at midwesternpsychiatry@gmail.com. Training dates for volunteering are 5/12, 5/19, 5/26 from 6 - 8 PM. This is a great opportunity for students.
